AMSIA (Austrian Multiple Sclerosis Innovation Alliance) is a nonprofit association of experts dedicated to advancing the Austrian Multiple Sclerosis Database (AMSD) and the Austrian Multiple Sclerosis Cohort (AMSC).
In addition, AMSIA aims to promote research on multiple sclerosis (MS) and other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system (CNS), and to bring together individuals working on and interested in this field in order to improve the care of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system in Austria.
AMSIA also seeks to significantly improve public awareness of MS and to intensify interdisciplinary exchange between science, medicine, and the affected public. 
These diverse activities serve the overarching goal of promoting, improving, and shaping the scientific framework for research on MS and other inflammatory diseases of the CNS in Austria in a forward-looking way.
AMSIA’s activities are charitable in nature and not profit-oriented. AMSIA is governed by an executive board.
